So I went to the grocery store a little late today…

I usually drop by the local grocery store to pick up some diet Pepsi or Coke Zero before the show on Saturdays, generally before seven am.  Today I was a bit late arriving there at seven-thirty.  I did meet a young man named Joesph who was just starting his shift there and was behind me in line.  He had a red bull in hand and commented that he would complain about the long line except he worked there.

This led to a conversation about the times we get up in the morning,  and it also prompted me to verbally notice the contents of the woman’s cart ahead of me.  Rather healthy, and saying so received an “I try” which encouraged me to rate each item as she placed it on the belt.

Even now I am still completely amused by my behavior at the checkout.  A nice warm feeling accompanied by an inner smile.

I will now remember Joesph’s name forever, this was the last thing I said as I left the store.

I returned home to find Chuck the Magpie ( together with Simon and Dean and Charlie in the hangout.  This was a treat indeed!  I strongly suggest you check her channel out.

We were hoping to have hikkipedia ( as our guest this morning, but a late Friday evening required beauty rest in the morning, although in my opinion she doesn’t need that at all.

Our solution was to create a new entity, chuckkipedia (, who you know from a previous blog as Charles Hayword.

The show went quite well and we were joined by Al Kimeda (

We rolled right into the aftershow for some off-air conversation until Posy May’s Concert Window broadcast (, and we watched that using a separate tab as well continued to chat amongst ourselves.  Eleven am rolled around and it was time for 2.5 Oyajis (

Hikkipedia did emerge from her cocoon and popped in to say hi!

The remainder of the day was spent at Ikea, Canadian Tire, Tim Hortons, A European grocery, napping, then back out to and Loblaws.

I have a video to make for the September fifth YouTube gathering in Tokyo, but first I will make some meatloaf for Sara and then finally watch Mad Max.

Let’s see, something helpful to close with an excerpt from “How to stop worrying and start living” by Dale Carnegie.  “If you want to avoid worry, do what Sir William Osler did: Live in “day-tight compartments”.  Don’t stew about the future.  Just live each day until bedtime.

Thanks for reading to the end,
